Whe order is given as \'stat means to start medication immediately. The patient is newly joined so, necessary assessment of vital signs such as blood pressure, pulse, temperature and respirations must be carried out. Also, the patient must be checked for urine output, peripheral edema and heart, breath sounds must be recorded. Before administration of drug it is important to assess the patient for drug allergies. The route of administration of drug “Lasix, 20 mg\" is not mentioned and the medication was received over telephone by another nurse. So, it is important to enquire the route of administration of the drug with the other nurse is necessary. If the other nurse was also not informed about route, immediate enquiry with prescribed must be done to start the immediate medication to newly joined patient.
