PATHOPHYSIOLOGY

Solution
Five pillars of inflammation are pain, swelling of edema, redness, heat and loss of function. When there is injury then these pillars are activated and perform in different ways:
1.Pain cause release of chemical by damaged cells.
2.Swelling or Edema : due to an influx of fluid into the damaged region
3.Redness :due to vasodilatation- the widening of blood vessels and bleeding in the joint or structure.
4.Heat : due to an increase in blood flow to the area
5.Loss of function: due to increased swelling and pain.
