II. The difference of two numbers is 4. Their sum is 14. What are the two numbers?

1) we would use a line graph , as we want to see the number of books borrowed every month

let the numbers be x and y

so

x-y = 4

x+y=14

add the 2 equations , we get

2x= 18

x = 9

as x = 9 , so y = 9-4 = 5
