The other classes of antibiotics that bind to 50s ribosomal subunit are erythromycin , chloramphenicol, clindamycin , streptogramins , retapamulin etc.
They prevent the protein synthesis by formation of peptide bonds by binding to 30s and 50s subunit of ribosomes.
