why is it that when i make an ac circuit, complete with an ac voltage source with only a capacitor and inductor, my current and voltage only show 0A and 0V when i do an AC sweep?

Solution

The mistake you are doing is using the AC sweep analysis.

AC sweep analysis is for nonlinear circuits which contain BJT, MOSFETs and it gives the frequency response i.e small signal gain and phase around the bias point.

Do transient analysis to see the currents in the above circuit.
