12. Suppose an airline is considering outsourcing 30% of their maintenance to outside companies. Use
the regression equation y = –0.1636x + 27.482 to determine their average percentage of delays.

The Regression Equation is

y = –0.1636x + 27.482 where y is dependent variable(% delays) and x is independent variable(outside companies)

Now put x=30%=0.3 in Regression equation

y=27.482 - 0.1636(0.3)

y= 27.43

Hence their average percentage of delays is 27.43% when x is 30%
