2. Rogers\' Self Concept: According to Carl Rogers, there are three components of self-concept

Self concept is a cumulation of views and beliefs about oneself, such as academic performance, financial stability, gender roles and racial identities. All of this creates an identity for the person which he views himself as.

Rogers\' self-actualization theory is similar to that of Maslow\'s idea of the need of self-actualization. Rogers adds that after self-actualization, each person\'s personality is unique, and through development of personality, a person can be self-realized. These individuals have peak experiences, with superflous creativity. When a person\'s self image stands congruent to his ideal self, self-actualization has occured.
