You are asked in your oral interview if you would report your field training officer, a 20-year veteran, for taking a candy bar from the local mini-mart during a late night security check. The mini-mart clerk said nothing to the officer when he left. What would you do? Explain why and support your actions.

Law enforcement system is an integral part of the criminal justice system which ensures proper & adequate laws in states or any area under its jurisdiction. there are law- enforcement officers appointed under this system to oversee the compliance or otherwise of the set laws ,in various areas-- such as public order and public safety & includes   detecting & investigating crimes such as theft ,cheating or tresspassing into others\' properties as also preventing the same---ie. a watch-dog for the society,in general.Individuals violating the above decorum & involving themselves in forbidden-by -law acts are arrested & investigated for suspected crimes by the appropriate agencies ,created for the purpose. That said about the role of law -enforcement in rendering criminal justice,the training officer,hiself being a veteran of 20 years, must himself ,be above these petty acts of requiring things free of cost ,from a vendor ,which amounts to both mis-using & abusing his office--which renders the mini-mart vendor unable to raise his voice against, or protest. This ,from an officer who is in-charge of training the new entrants in law enforcement nuances. So, it is recommended that the trainee should report this over-bearing & errant act of mis-using his officer\'s post . It is all the more important for a teacher to stand by what he teaches,so that his students emulate him and practice right lessons with right values.
