On a recent trip to the doughnut store, I bought two dozen doughnuts. They were 8 vanilla, 7 chocolate, 3 strawberry, 6 glazed. If I was to choose one of these doughnuts randomly, what’s the probability of choosing?
Solution
As each doughnut is equally likely to be selected so, probability of choosing any one doughnut = 1/24
And as there are only three categories, so probability of choosing a color = 1/3
