write complex number in polar form with argument theta betwe

write complex number in polar form with argument theta between 0 and 2pi.

sqrt(7) - sqrt(7)i

Please show all work

Solution

sqrt 7 - sqrt 7i

a = sqrt 7

b = - sqrt 7

r^2 = a^2 + b^2 = (sqrt 7)^2 + ( -sqrt 7)^2 = 14

r = sqrt 14

theta = tan^-1 ( b/a ) = tan^-1 ( -1) = -45 degrees

polar form is

= sqrt 14 angle 315 degrees
