1 A charge of 1c moves past a given point every 01 sec How m

1. A charge of 1c moves past a given point every 0.1 sec. How much is the current?

2. A charge of 6C moves past a given point every 0.3 sec. how much is the current?

Solution

We know that

   current (I) =[ Charge (Q) ] / [ Time(t) ]

   or

Charge (Q) =    [current (I) ] * [ Time(t) ]

But the condition is the chaege(Q) must be in coulombs and time(t) must be in seconds

1.

GIVEN THAT

charge(Q) = 1C

  time(t) = 0.1 sec

current (I) =[ Charge (Q) ] / [ Time(t) ]

   =(1) / (0.1)

   = 10 A

SO ,CURRENT (I) =10A

2.

   GIVEN THAT

charge(Q) = 6C

  time(t) = 0.3 sec

current (I) =[ Charge (Q) ] / [ Time(t) ]

   =(6) / (0.3)

   = 20A

SO, CURRENT (I) =20A
