Solution
1. The real purpose of the paper was to know why tomatoes traditionally do not have any taste or flavour. The authors in the paper were interested to know why the tomatoes after being ripe still have no taste.
2. The interesting part of the paper was a mutation by chance has made tomatoes tasteless but at the same time this mutation made the tomatoes prettier and also helpful for the breeders.
3. The confusing part of the paper for me was how the weed genes are linked to tomatoes being tasteless. Also the weed genes introducing into the plants making the tomatoes during dark green.
5. The most important point of the paper to know why the tomatoes were tasteless and the message was it happened due to a random mutation but this mutation was deliberately used by the breeders due to its other conferred advantages.
