The inheritance is an recessive pattern of inheritance as only few progeny from one mating are effected. This is due to recessive inheritance where both copies of the recessive allele are required to cause the disease phenotype.

It is Autosomal recessive pattern of inheritance. It is not X linked recessive because, the infected male child from 2nd F1 generation male (5th child ) donot recieve X chromosome from the infected father. Hence it is due to autosomal trasmission.
