Explanation:
As the ring is at position 2, the external magnetic field(which is directed into the plane) lines increase through the loop. Thus magnetic flux increase. Thus , by Lenz\'s Law, the induced current must flow in counterclockwise so that the induced magnetic field is clockwise which will try to decrease the increasing external magnetic flux.
Now, at position 3, the flux is constant ,thus there is no change in magnetic field and thus no induced current
And at position 4, the case is reversed as compared to position 2, thus the current must also revese.
So, current is clockwise
