H0: Homicides are equally likely in all the months

Ha: Homicides are different for atleast 2 months

Two tailed test

Alpha = 0.05

df = 11

Expected counts = 513/12 for each month

Chi square is calculated as (O-E)^2 /E

where O is observed and E is expected frequency

p = 0.404928. The result is not significant at p < 0.05.

Accept null hypothesis

There is statistical evidence to prove that all are equally likely
