Determine whether or not the integral from 1 to infinity of

Determine whether or not the integral from (1 to infinity) of (x^2)(e^(-x^3)) dx converges or diverges. show your work. If it converges, evaluate the integral

Solution

do it by integration test :
put x3 = t

3x2 dx = dt

: (dt/3)* e-t

: (-1/3)e-t   : (-1/3)e-x^3

put limits from x =1 to infinity

: (-1/3) [ 0 - 1/e ]

: 1/3e

as answer is finite quantity

hence it converges !!!
