x 4y z 6 2x y z 3 3x 2y 3z 16SolutionThe 3 equation

x + 4y - z = 6 2x - y + z = 3 3x + 2y + 3z = 16

Solution

The 3 equations are

x + 4y - z = 6----------(1)

2x - y + z = 3----------(2)

3x + 2y + 3z = 16----(3)

From (1) z = x + 4y -6------(4)

Putting (4) in (2) , we get

2x - y + (x + 4y - 6) = 3

Solving: 3x + 3y = 9----------(5)

Putting (4) in 3, we get

3x + 2y + 3(x + 4y - 6) = 16

Solving: 6x + 14y = 34, Dividing by 2, we get

3x + 7y = 17------------(6)

Solving equation (5) and (6) [Equation (6) - Equation(5)]

3x + 7y - [3x + 3y] = 17-9

Therefore 4y = 8 or y = 2

Substituting the value of y in Equation (5)

3x + 3*2 = 9, Therefore x = 1

Substituting x = 1 and y = 2 in equation (4)

z = 1 + 4*2 - 6

z = 3

Therefore x = 1, y = 2 and z = 3

 x + 4y - z = 6 2x - y + z = 3 3x + 2y + 3z = 16SolutionThe 3 equations are x + 4y - z = 6----------(1) 2x - y + z = 3----------(2) 3x + 2y + 3z = 16----(3) Fro
