Solution

Straight line depreciation

When t = 0, y = 150000
When t = 15, y = 5000

So, slope = (5000 - 150000) / (15 - 0)

Slope = -29000/3

So, the equation is of the form

y = (-29000/3)t + C

Clearly, the y-intercept is 150000

So, y = (-29000/3)t + 150000

When t = 10,
y = (-29000/3) * 10 + 150000
y = 53333.33

So, after 10 years,
the value is :

53333.33 dollars ------> ANSWER
