In that case I would let my results speak for me, showing senior leadership that during the time I`ve been the CEO our sales have increase and we have a low layoff %, we are developing our people so they can become leaders in the future.
I would also bring new ideas, like starting a mentor program to help the development of people.
Show the new customers we have and the long term relationships we have been able to keep due to correct management on the accounts.
In the end, stakeholders care about profit and revenue, if the numbers are good there is no reason to change CEO
