How does finding the error estimate and confidence intervals for dependent samples compare to the methods for one mean from the Estimates and Sample Sizes chapter?  

Solution

For dependent we subtract the paired values and then the difference acts as a new random sample (Satisfying normality etc), and we can proceed the same calculations as a single sample method, to calculate error estimate and CI for this difference.
