Compute the probability of each of the following events Roun

Compute the probability of each of the following events:

Round your answers to at least two decimal places.

P(A)=

P(B)=

Solution

SOLUTION: Fot the event A the sum of two events is greater then 7 this meaans sum can be anything out of (8,9,10,11 and 12) .There are a total of 6×6 = 36 possible outcomes .Sum 8 appears 5 times ,9 appears 4 times,10 appears 3 times,11 appears 2 times , 12 appears 1 time so probabilty for event a p(A)=(5+4+3+2+1)/36=15/36=5/12

for event B the sum is not divisible by 6 means sum can not be either 6 or 12 .6 appears 5 times and 12 appears 1 times out of 36 so the probabilty p(B)=1-(5+1)/36=1-6/36=1-1/6=5/6    ANSWER p(A)=5/12 ,p(B) =5/6

Compute the probability of each of the following events: Round your answers to at least two decimal places. P(A)= P(B)=SolutionSOLUTION: Fot the event A the sum
