What is the difference between a MAC address and an IP address.

IP adress is also called as Internet Protocol Adresss.

this IP adress is assigned to every System,printers etc based on the network IP used for communication.IP address is not constant it changes when we changed to other network.the IP adress of any system or mobile changes with change in network,

NOW,coming to MAC address ,

MAC address is a Machine Adress.Each machine has a unique mac adress.supose let us take a computer it may have different IP adress when network changes and changes but the MAC address of the System is constant.

when a System.or device communicate to network the MAC adress of system is stored in network so that network no need to search of device Adress again and again.sometiems MAC adress also referred as network hardware Adress
