Prices for vitamins increased over the past years and prices
Prices for vitamins increased over the past years, and prices charged by different retailers often a great deal. The following data show prices at four different retailers. Conduct an analysis to determine whether retail outlet has an impact on vitamin price What is the null hypothesis? Complete the table below to support your conclusions Show your work for the sum of squares calculations. Using alpha = .05. determine the critical value and Indicate whether you support or reject the null hypothesis. What does your conclusion mean?
Solution
The hypothesis of testing are:-
The ANOVA Table is
The critical value is 2.16. Since calculated F is greater than critical value, we reject H0 and conclude that atleast one retail outlet has a significant effect on vitamin price.
This means that the vitamin price is different for atleast one retailer.
