Describe the process for finding the confidence interval for a population mean with the standart deviation, not known.

Solution

With out the standart deviation we use t-test for confidence , which has simlar wayto calculate Z test for confidence . we refer to the T table chart in calculations.

Confidence Interval
CI = x ± t a/2 * (sd/ Sqrt(n))
Where,
x = Mean
sd = Standard Deviation
a = 1 - (Confidence Level/100)
ta/2 = t-table value
CI = Confidence Interval
