Suppose that the function h relates a dairy farmer\'s cost (measured in dollars) as a function of the number of gallons of milk produced. Explain what each of the following represents. H(18) h(b) = 25 h(15) - 7h(9) 2h(5) - 1 = 7.50 h(4.3) + h(6.4) 5h(4.5) + 2h(3) = 24.23

Solution

Solution

Suppose that   the function   h   relates   a   dairy    farmer\'s   cost   (measured in dollars )

as    a   function number of    gallons   of   milk   produced

To   Explain what   each   of    the following   represents

       a )     h(18)

This   represents    cost    of    18 gallons   of   milk produced

        b)     h(b) = 25

This   represents   cost   of      b   gallons   of    produced which is   equal to

                25

c)         h(15) - 7h(9)

This represents    Total   cost   when cost   of    15 gallons subtracted from

7   times    cost   of   9 gallons

d )       2h(5) -   1 = 7.50

The Above Equation represents cost of 5 gallons

e)    h(4.3) + h(6.4)

This represents Addition of    cost of    4.3 gallons    and    6.4   gallons

f)       5h(4.5) + 2h(3) = 24.23

This represents   Addition   of     5 times   Cost   of    4.5 Gallons

and   2 times Cost   of    3   Gallons   which   is   equal   to 24.23

Suppose that the function h relates a dairy farmer\'s cost (measured in dollars) as a function of the number of gallons of milk produced. Explain what each of
