Bit torrent clients main difference from other P2P technologies is that it actively tracks a list of peers that are sharing or downloading a specific file, while other clients work by finding a user with the desired file on their computer. In the bit torrent four main elements are there

Trackers – is part and it is not shared in the torrent node but it keeps track of seeders and leechers download the specified file

.torrent file – seeders and leechers download the files .torrent files.it holds the file name size and IP address of the tracker.

Seeds – seeds are nodes in the torrent that have complete copies of the desired content.

Leechers- this also a nodes in the torrent that have incomplete copies.

To download file from the torrent simply download .torrent and loads it into a Bit torrent application. If a file is shared means that there is only one seed and hosted. once a leecher is complete they are promoted to seeds and will remain on the network solely as an uploading node until they have closed there connection.
