The prosthesis is , artificial replacement of body parts either internally or externally. The implant, introduced surgically to deep into the body. We all know that short usable contact lenses are implants. Intra uterine contraceptive device also implants The vascular grafts are also implants Crutches are mobility aids.they neither implants nor prosthetics. They modify the structure and function of skeletal muscle hence they called orthotics. Orthodontic braces modify the structure of teeth. Hence they not called as implant or prosthetic.
