On substituting the values of i=2 to 10 in the given equation, if it results in a system of equations in which the coefficient matrix has all its entries lying along principal diagonal, the diagonal immediately below it and the diagonal lying immediately above it are non-zero while all other entries are zero, then the system is called a tridiagonal system and the said method is applicable for its solution. But in the given problem it is not the case, as may be seen clearly by substituting for i. Therefore, the said mathod i.e., TDMA is not applicable here.
