Wouldn\'t the previous answer be the volume of an elliptical cylinder not a bowl.

A bowl assumes it is rounded at the bottom.

For this you need the equation for volume of half an ellipsoid.

V = 2/3 pi* h*a*b

V = 2/3 pi*15*5.5*9

V = 495 pi cm^3
