An object is travelling around a circle with a radius of 9 c

An object is travelling around a circle with a radius of 9 centimeters. If in 40 seconds a central angle of 1/4 radian is swept out, what are the linear and angular speeds of the object? The linear speed is v = (Type an integer or a simplified fraction.) The angular speed is omega = (Type an integer or a simplified fraction.)

Solution

Angular velocity = Angle in radians /time in sec

= (1/4)/40

=1/160 rad/sec

Linear velocity = radius*angular velocity = 9(1/160)

= 9/160 cm/sec
