Advantage of Electrical Tower.

This method is most commonly used in India for the erection of 6.6 kV, 132 kV, 220 kV and 400 kV transmission line towers due to the following advantages:

(i) Tower materials can be supplied to site in knocked down condition which facilitates easier and cheaper mode of transportation of electrical power for Generating Station to Load Centers.

(ii) It does not require any heavy machinery such as cranes etc.

(iii) Tower erection activity can be done in any kind of terrain and mostly       

       Throughout the year.

(iv) Availability of workmen at cheap rates.

(v) Ground Clearance is given depending upon the Voltage level for proper protection.

vi). Power interruption is less Effected when compared other mode of transport.ie underground cable.

vii) Fault detection is easy.

viii) Less space is required for erection.
