The phase voltage Ephase measured across a balanced, wye-connected, three-phase resistive load is 60 V. Calculate the line voltage ELine, as well as the current IN flowing in the neutral line.
Solution
ELine=sqrt (3)*Ephase
ELine=60*sqrt (3)=103. 92 volts.
For a balanced threephase circuit the current flows through neutral line is always zero.
