Describe the difference between the radius and the ulna in terms of motion. Describe the function of the patella.

Solution

Radius and ulna are two bones of the lower limb. They are parallel to each other. The longer radius is present in the lateral side of the elbow near the thumb , where as ulna presnt in the medial side,   near little finger. Pronation(turn parm upward) and supination(turn parm downward) of the arm depends on the movement of radius and ulna. Proximal radioulnar joint-(head of radius and radial notch of ulna.) and distal radioulnar joints-(ulnar had and ulnar noth of radius) are the two points responsible for these movements of the arm.

Patella is the bone between fibula and femur. It protects the knee cap and helps in the extension of leg.
