Write the complex number in polar form Express the argument

Write the complex number in polar form. Express the argument in degrees, rounded to the nearest tenth, if necessary. 1 - -squareroot 3i 2(cos 330 degree + i sin 330 degree) 4(cos 330 degree + i sin 330 degree) 4 (cos 300 degree + i sin 300 degree) 2(cos 300 degree + i sin 300 degree)

Solution

2.    1- sqrt3 i

   r= sqrt(12+ (-sqrt3)2)= 2

   tan theta=y/x= -sqrt3/1

      theta= tan-1-sqrt3= 300 degree

Therefore the required polar form is

2(cos 300 + i sin 300)

Correct option is D
