Find sin 2x, cos 2x, and tan 2x from the given information. sin x = 8/17 x in Quadrant III sin 2x = -8/17 cos 2x = -15/17 tan 2x = -8/15

x is in quadrant 3 so cosx is positive

cosx = sqrt(1-sinx^2) = 15/17

a)sin(2x) = 2sinxcosx = 2(8/17)(15/17) = 240/287

b)cos2x = 1-2sinx^2 = 161/287

c)tan2x = sin2x/cos2x = 240/162
