How sensitive are managers and employees to possible ethical issues in the workplace? What suggestions could be made for improvement?

Solution

In the workplace, being ethical may involve being morally right, being honest, not cheating your employer, co-workers, or customers, not stealing company assets, and treating our co-workers well. Other ethical situations also involve harassment, misuse of Internet, spending working time on outside work, etc.

The manager and the employees should be ethical to their employer , it’s the employer who is paying the employees so it’s the responsibility of each and everyone that they should not do anything wrong which harms the employer reputation or hurt him financially. Using private mail from office internet can be used to steal data from company and sell it to rival company.

Suggestions:-

1. Employee engagement program should be on the regular basis.

2. Employee awareness program should be opted so that employee should be aware of to do list & not to do list.

3. A single employee should be not given full details of the project so that in case of leakage of data the company should not face any harm.

4. I.T cell should keep a track on outgoing mail from the company internet.

5. special cell should be formed to hear the harassment cases and fast action should be taken.
