It is an additive manufacturing technique using a 3D CAD generated model. The required model will be generated using a CAD software The generated 3D model is converted to .stl (stereo lithography) format and the whole model will be divided into different layers and the machine will deposit the powdered metal layer by layer using the 3D model given. Laser will be directed to the powdered metal layers and causes for the melting of the powdered metal. The molten metal will get soldified later to form strong bonds.
