Finding percentage difference between two numbers. So I have a distance of 20.98 inches and a distance of 19.29 inches. I need to find the percentage difference between the two. Is this how I would do it...

20.98-19.29= 1.69

1.69/20.98= .0805 x100

=8.05%

20.98-19.29= 1.69 ---- correct

It only depends by which number you are dividing:

if you divide by 20.98 =1.69/20.98= .0805 x100

=8.05%

It means 20.98 is 8.05 % more than 19.29

To find 19.28 : (100-8.05)% * 20.98 = 19.29

So, in this way it is correct
