I believe I did the mean right. I cannot figure out how to caluclate the median.

Yaah your calculation of Mean is absolutely Correct. that method is acceptable.

Now come to on Median Calculaion part

Median is Middle value of range ..that means Median of [a,b] is (a+b)/2

So Range of your Data is [149.5, 309.5]

=> Median = (309.5 + 149.5) /2

= 459/2

= 229.5

So Median = 229.5
