If the eight alleles at F1 are: ABCDEFGH and abcdefgh there would be - 16 homozygous combinations possible. Eight of which are dominant and eight are recessive.

AA, BB, CC, DD, EE, FF, GG, HH- These are the dominant alleles

aa bb, cc dd ee ff gg hh - These are the recessive alleles

Whereas there can be only 8 alleles in heterozygous combination.
