The performance of the I/O system has not kept pace would the increasing speed of processors. How has this disparity in performance affected your use of computers and what techniques have you had to employ to adapt to this disparity?
Solution
As we all know that processors are much more faster than the input/output device,we have developed various types of memory devices.firstly it is cache memory. The cache memory speed is between the speed of the processor and the speed of the primary memory. In cache also there are multi levels of caches with various speeds .information from primary memory is passed into secondary storage and then to input/output device or directly to input/output device.even we have certaian kinds of cards which will help in primary memory devices to cope up with the speed.
