For the electrical circuit shown in Figure 3.1, given R1 = 160 ?, R3 =68 ?, I1 = 0.90 mA, I3 = 0.97 mA, and R2 = R4. Find the voltage potential, E, to the nearest whole volt.

Solution

from the circuit.

0.97*10^-3*(68+R2)=0.9*10^-3*(160+R2)

0.97*68+0.97R2=0.9*160+0.92R2

R4=R2=1114.85 ohms.

E=0.97*10^-3*(1114.85+68)=1.14736 Volts.
