(a) the magnetic field strength inside the coil at its midpoint

Solution

a) For a solenoid .. B = N i / L

B = (4^-7) x 420 x 4.80 / 0.35m .. .. . B = 7.24 mT

b) Flux, = B x A .. 7.24T x (0.032m)² .. .. = 0.0232 T.m²
