What factors do not contribute to the development of mutatio
What factor(s) do not contribute to the development of mutations that are characteristic of so many tumor types?
a. Viruses that integrate into the host genome, and trigger genetic instability.
b. Acute resolving infections that trigger chronic inflammation.
c. Long term infection where virus promotes cell proliferation in the context of persistent inflammation.
d. Persistent infections combined with long term inflammation that promotes the development of mutations.
Solution
Virus which integrate in hos genome and trigger instability in the process it may provoke some mutation due to deletion or inversion or by some means. also inflammation that promotes development is a reason for mutation.
however other two like acute resolving infection and long term term infection may not lead to mutation as in case host immune systmen would act to remove the cause as soon as possbile.
