first we convert speed 96 km/h into m/sec

we know 1 km = 1000 meters and 1 hr = 3600 second

then 96 km/h = (96*1000)/(1*3600) = 960/36 = 80/3 = 26.67 meters/second

so we can say that 26.67 meters covers untill the driver starts braking
