You are completing a microscope lab and are struggling to see enough light, or anything really, through your ocular lens. Explain one thing you could do to remedy this problem.
Solution
While starting a microscope lab we should make sure that we have to change lenses, rotate the nose piece until you see and feel it “click” into place. Depress the light switch to turn the microscope on, then position your specimen over the light source, gently using the controls of the mechanical stage; REMEMBER TO NEVER FORCE ANYTHING! if the object is not clear the adjust the lenses by changing the positions. After completing the microscope lab return the microscope objectives to lowest power, lower the stage, make sure the light source is turned off, and clean the objectives and ocular with lens tissue moistened with 95% ETOH. If any moisture is left over then clean it by using towel around the ocular lense and and place the slide under the lense to see the image. after that you return the microscope carefully with both hands designated storage location. IF a microscope is put away incorrectly or is dirty or still has a slide on it, it will cost you 5 points.
