A person wishes to show beyond reasonable doubt that he has psychic powers. He takes the test described as follows:( A \"senmder\" is seated before a box on which one of five symbols( pluis, square, star, circle, wave) can be illuminated. When a symbol is illuminated, the sender concentrates on it and a \"receiver\" attempts to identify which symbol has been selected. The receiver indicates a box symbol on the receiver\'s box, which sends a signal to the sender\'s box that cues it to select and illuminate another symbol. This process of illuminating, sendin, and receiving a symbol is repeated 25 times. The receiver\'s ssocre is the number of symbols taht he correctly identifies.) except he tries to identify 100 symbols, with a 20% chance of being right for each symbol if he does not have psychic powers. The result is that he correctly identifies 25 out of 100 symbols.
a) Write down appropriate null and alternative hypotheses for this test.
b) For someone without psychic powers, what is the probability of correctly identifiyng 25 or more symbols out of 100? (Use the binomials)
c) Has the psychic demonstarted his powers beyond resonable doubt?
