Solution

First of all the public relationship management of bp oil spill by the company was simply terrible, The fact is there is not much BP could have done differently to manage the oil spill.

Oil spill have costed fishermen millions of dollars in lost revenues and jobs, It was disaster for state of loiusiana. Company could have shown more empathy towards victims of the accident which it was directly involved,

Former BP CEO said that there is lot of water out there, Nothing would happen. This was very wrong ethically, No one has licenced them oil fields to spill over huge quantities of oil, The spill just could not be managed and many beaches where just filled with oil and tar balls.

Ethically industrial accidents do happen, Comapnies must work with local community and government to jointly deal with losses that were inccured to the locals. There are numerous examples where fishermen were paid livelihood because of oil rigs. ( Fishermen cannot fish within 3 km from ocean oil rigs the rig will destroy their nets). Furthersome economic activity and oil is needed by all parties so future oil extraction must be done more carefully to avoid such spill offs.
