For example, if my P value was 0.05 and 0.60 would I say the following.
Since my P value was 0.05, I am 95% confident that we are correctly refuting the null hypothesis.
Since my P value was 0.60, I am 60% confident that we are correctly refuting the null hypothesis, or is it, Since my P value was 0.60, I am only 40% confident that we are correctly refuting the null hypothesis?
I know that the p value must be >0.05, that\'s what confuses me for the second one. So you can\'t be 60% confident, 0.60 means you are only 40% confident over your alternative hypothesis and 60% confident over the null hypothesis being correct. Is that how it works?
Solution
Since my P value was 0.05, I am 95% confident that we are correctly refuting the null hypothesis.
p value means like your error like you dont nothing about it
but 1 - 0.05 = 0.95 the complemtary you are very sure that 95% confident that is correct refuting right?
so you are right you are correct
but i think p value like 0.60 is a lot of, I would say that if your p value is so big you need to check because p value is not so bigger
