A urinalysis is ordered and the results are as follows: pH 3.5 Albumin (30mg/100mL glucose: 250mg/100mL specific gravity: 1.045 ketones: 10mg/100mL What do you predict the diagnosis to be? Explain and provide reasoning

The presence of albumin and high percentage of ketone indicates that the patient is having protein rich diets. Also with pH below 7 represents acid and the pateint might be suffering from urine acidosis and/or uncontrolled diabetes mellitus. Moreover, the presence of glucose in the urine is also indicative of diabetes mellitus.
